What is a drinking vinegar?

A drinking vinegar is an apple cider vinegar that’s been mixed or infused with fruit or sugar. Drinking a shot of vinegar has been practiced for thousands of years because of it’s proven digestive and health benefits— Apple cider vinegar has many antimicrobial properties and many antioxidants.

What’s in Old Tree’s Winter Botanical Drinking Vinegar?

Our Winter Botanical Drinking Vinegar has an elderberry-infused apple cider vinegar as a base— this drinking vinegar is a departure from our usual shrub cordial offering. It is an even more powerful concentrate with all the health benefits that come along with drinking vinegars. We carefully chose several energizing, immune-supporting ingredients that are also often used in traditional medicinal remedies.

Our drinking vinegar has over 17 ingredients packed in— many foraged from around Sussex, and some of them even come from Rock Farm where we have planted our Drink Forest Gardens and edible hedgerows. This drinking vinegar is also refined-sugar free! Instead we have naturally sweetened it with apple and pear juice scrumped at our social harvesting event at permaculture farm Three Pools in Wales.
