No Shelves.

No Middlemen.

Just us and you.

Most drinks are made to survive shelves, wholesalers, and supermarket logic. Ours are made to follow the seasons.

They are alive, fermented, small-batch, and made with plants that have their own way of doing things.

Which is what we love about them! But it also means they don’t fit easily into a system built for identical products, long shelf lives, and tiny margins. By the time the shop, the courier, VAT, and duty have all taken their cut, we're left with very little.

Drink the Seasons is our way of going direct.

When you subscribe, more of your money goes where it should: into the plants, the brewers, the harvests, the experiments, and the community around Old Tree.

Help fund the nature restoration work that drives everything we do.

A Community Supported Brewery

Old Tree · Glynde, East Sussex

Six bottles.

Different every season.

Every quarter, a box of six bottles - every drink brewed for subscribers.

You won't find these anywhere else.

The seasons set the menu: spring is birch and nettle, summer is elderflower and honeysuckle, autumn is hedgerow fruits and orchard apples, winter is oak, pine, roots and spice. Each box also comes with seasonal extras - hydrosol shots, botanical sweets from our fermentation by-products, and guides to the plants we're celebrating.

What comes in Drink the Seasons boxes?

Summer brings honeysuckle and mugwort

All foraged from Sussex hedgerows, fields, and forests.

Brewed by Iside, Harry, and the team at our Glynde brewery.

You shape what we brew

Members get first invitations to tastings, harvest days, workshop places, and feedback sessions. Your notes help shape what we brew next.

Subscriber-only

Come and harvest with us.

Drink the Seasons is not just a box in the post. Across the year we’ll be creating chances to come closer to the plants, the brewery, and the people behind the drinks.

There’ll be opportunities to forage, taste new brews, and spend time with the Old Tree community. No expertise needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get a bit more hands-on.

The honeysuckle we pick in July goes into the summer box. The elderflower we gather in June goes in too. The apples we press in October, the rosehips, the sloe berries, the mugwort, it's all land to hand, then bottle to door.

RAGMAN'S LANE DRINK FOREST GARDEN PILOT SITE

OF PROFITS BACK INTO LAND

The vast majority of what's on the shelves in this country is artificially carbonated, full of preservatives, and produced from monoculture crops that strip biodiversity from the land.

We believe in trees that cycle nutrients, create oxygen, store carbon, cool microclimates. Perennial plants help soils recover. Our ancestors knew these plants as food and drink. Our gut bacteria still do.

When people value these plants as drinks, there is more reason to plant them, protect them, harvest them, and learn from them again.

Every Drink the Seasons subscription directly funds nature restoration: hedgerow planting, foraging education, community composting, and our partnership with Ragmans Lane Farm - a 60-acre organic permaculture site in Gloucestershire where we're piloting education and regeneration through fermentation.

A different drinks culture is
taking root.

Raised toward community -supported brewing

People are hungry for drinks rooted in land, season and place, not just mass production and supermarket shelves.

— FROM OUR FOUNDER

Every subscription helps fund local jobs, biodiversity, foraging, fermentation and a practical alternative to extractive food systems.

— WHERE THE MONEY GOES

Over 320 people backed the first step. Now we’re building the next one: a community-supported brewery shaped by the seasons.
